We Provide Paths to Safer Housing

Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness for women and children. Our advocates work with survivors to overcome challenges that prevent them from finding and maintaining safer and stable housing.

Homelessness & Housing Stability services

At LifeWire, we believe that no survivor should have to choose between staying in an abusive relationship and becoming homeless. That’s why we’ve developed a wide range of services uniquely designed to keep domestic violence survivors and their families off the streets and in safe and stable housing.

My Sister’s Home

My Sister’s Home, LifeWire’s confidential emergency shelter, serves families and individuals facing lethal situations. Because our shelter has individual apartments, we can welcome all types of families and individuals. In addition to housing services, residents receive family and children’s advocacy services.

My Friend’s Place

Through My Friend’s Place, our communal living shelter, we provide confidential transitional housing and supportive services for families healing from both domestic violence and chemical dependency.

Flexible Funds

Flexible funds help survivors keep or find housing by stopping evictions and paying for move-in costs, utilities, emergency hotel stays, or other expenses.

Rental Assistance

Short-term rental assistance programs support families as they transition into safe and stable housing.
