LifeWire is grateful to the hundreds of volunteers who bring energy and compassion to the work of ending domestic violence.
Direct Service Volunteers work with survivors of domestic violence and their families. Our comprehensive 20-hour training program, offered at least once a year, prepares volunteers to help survivors dealing with the trauma of family violence. Volunteer opportunities include answering LifeWire’s 24-Hour Helpline, co-facilitating support groups, and providing court accompaniments.
Support Volunteers provide LifeWire staff with valuable fundraising, administrative, and professional help. No special training required. Volunteer opportunities include planning LifeWire’s fundraising events, serving on a committee, and assisting with our Holiday Shop.
LifeWire hosts two fundraising events each year—our World of Hope Gala and Auction in the spring and our Breakfast in the fall. Visit our events page for more information on how you can attend or get involved.
Everyone has a role to play in creating healthy, safe and vibrant communities.Follow LifeWire on social media to learn more to see how your support makes a difference, and become a source of information about domestic and dating violence.
