Volunteers and donation coordinators are the heartbeat of LifeWire, offering invaluable support that extends the reach and effectiveness of our work.
Together, we make a meaningful difference for more than 6,000 survivors of domestic violence that LifeWire reaches every year.
LifeWire offers a variety of flexible ways your time and skills can be used to support our mission to end domestic violence and increase awareness in our community.
Individual Volunteering
- Coordinate In-Kind Donations of New Items: Host a diaper drive, baby supply shower, or birthday party to collect new packaged items for survivors and their kids. (Please note we are unable to accept used items.)
- Social Media Amplification: Collaborate with LifeWire to design impactful digital media content, or help us increase the reach of our content by sharing our learning resources and community events with your networks!
- Events: Day-of support for community events like resource tabling and fundraising celebrations. Many hands make light work and build relationships!
Group Volunteering
- Events: Day-of support for major community-facing LifeWire events.
- Collection Drive: Organize a neighborhood collection drive or purchase urgently needed new items like school supplies, household goods, personal essentials, and gift cards. Suggested items can be found on our Amazon Wishlist.
Age requirement: Volunteers under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian and may not be eligible for all opportunities.
Direct service opportunities with survivors are not available due to confidentiality and safety considerations. We will be glad to share the contact information for partner organizations who offer those options.
